Why Charlotte Strings Academy?
Peter and Anna are professional performing artists with over 40 combined years of international experience in performing and teaching. The academy combines European and American teaching methods, offers morning hours for pre-school and homeschooling students, and prepares students for competitive youth orchestra auditions.
Seven reasons families choose us
It is challenging to find a music teacher who is also a professional performing artist. Peter and Anna have over 40 combined years of international experience in both areas. Students can observe Peter performing in the Charlotte Symphony. Peter and Anna can be seen playing in different chamber music groups in the area. Click here to watch and listen. (opens in a new tab)
It is equally difficult to find a private teacher who is a faculty member at the university. Peter has taught at Davidson College and Gardner Webb University for the past 10 years.
We combine European and American teaching methods for the optimal student's performance.
We offer convenient and flexible morning hours for pre-school and homeschooling students.
We provide the opportunity of starting two instruments at the same time and continuing on one later. (Violin and Piano Exploring Classes)
We work hard getting our students ready for highly competitive auditions to Charlotte Junior Youth and Youth Symphonies, Honors, All State and Regional Orchestras. Most students are being accepted with leading positions.
This year, seven Charlotte Strings Academy students were accepted into top positions in the Charlotte Youth Orchestra. More students from Charlotte Strings Academy are in the Charlotte Youth Orchestra than from any other local music program.
